Skills Sessions Overview

The skill sessions will focus on lacrosse fundamentals, footwork, and fast paced fun—reps, reps , reps—shooting will be emphasized along with all types of offensive drills (e.g. pass, pick, pop, replace, overload, cut, shoot) and defensive drills (e.g. stay low, head on a swivel, drop step, stick-up). Drills will move quickly, the goal is to increase individual skills while also increasing lacrosse IQ.

Skills Sessions: 2024, 2025, 2026, 2027 Teams

ALC Bay Raiders is partnering with lacrosse legend Jimmy Beardmore for our Fall Skills Sessions.

Cost: $100 (5 sessions)

November 16th through December 21st (subject to change due to weather)

These sessions will be super focused on developing individual and position specific skill sets to take our players to the next level of lacrosse.
Enrollment is completely optional but highly recommended based on the level of coaching and development that takes place during these 5 sessions. 

Dates and times:

Saturday afternoons—12:30pm to 2:30pm—at St. Mary's High School turf field on Bestgate Rd.

Starting November 16th through December 21st:

November 16th — 12:30pm to 2:30pm
November 23rd — 12:30pm to 2:30pm
December 7th — 12:30pm to 2:30pm
December 14th — 12:30pm to 2:30pm
December 21st — 12:30pm to 2:30pm

Coach Beardmore brings 30+ years of coaching, teaching, and motivational experience to the Bay Raiders.

Coach Beardmore attended Severn School and than went on to achieve All-American status while playing goalie for the University of Maryland. Jim also was named ACC MVP IN 1987. After graduation Jim played in the MILL for the Washington Wave and Pittsburgh Bulls. Coach Beardmore has vast knowledge and experience coaching student athletes of all ages—he's directed NIKE lacrosse camps and served as Head Lacrosse coach at Severna Park High School where he won 2 state championships and receiving Coach of the Year honors from the Baltimore Sun and the Washington Post. Coach Beardmore also spent one year as the Head Coach of the Denver Outlaws and has also played and coached all over the world, including Australia, Japan, and Germany. Coach Beardmore's extensive life experiences give him a unique perspective and high energy approach to life—on and off the field—he currently promotes "BE THE BEST" through motivational speaking engagements as well as offering individual goalie training.
